Traditions Performance Firearms is looking for a Warehouse Manager. This position reports to the Operations manager and is responsible for managing all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient processes, and maximizing warehouse productivity. An outstanding warehouse supervisor should be dependable and have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations and maximize productivity.
- Manage production supervisor and shipping department supervisor and assist them to set goals for their team.
- Supervise warehouse staff and oversee departments to ensure employees are meeting set standards.
- Keep a well-organized and efficient warehouse space according to OSHA and state regulations.
- Monitor and manage warehouse productivity to continuously implement process improvements. Establish and write new, efficient processes.
- Audit and adjust processes and oversee employee productivity metrics. Establish clear and consistent labor standards.
- Work with purchasing to develop and implement procedures for unloading orders from vendors.
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Ensure trucks/ trailers are efficiently and accurately loaded/ unloaded to support the efficient movement of goods and materials to their destinations to fulfill commitment to our customers and support sales objectives.
- Review and maintain warehouse budget, control operating expenses and project capital expenditures.
- Manage, maintain, and revise, as required, warehouse operations and procedures.
- Work with freight carriers to negotiate rates, meet customer ship date requirements, and resolve any issues.
- Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or 5+ years of progressive experience.
- 2+ years managerial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of computers and related software applications.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong ability to multitask.
- Friendly and upbeat demeanor.
